I hate myself for never knowing what to say to you.
I seek this pain recursively.
I make it pretty, everybody marvels
The ugly stays and sits and is ignored.

It's gotten old? You seek some fun,
I seek a savior
While safety clutches me and pulls me back.
That's over-played? You're looking only for the pretty
I'll turn me inside out to get it back.

You have it all (now if I just knew how you liked it)
You take so little (I am crushed under the weight)
Please take the pretty (everybody else does)
Or give me pain (til I learned what to say)
