There are two difficult, in an immediate, every-day life sort of way, choices that I have to make on the boat.

The first and daily of these is, when do I attempt to drink my 64oz of water for the day, given that 1) I am spending all day in the hot sun but 2) I am spending all day on a boat with no bathroom. We're allowed to request that they slow the boat down so as to pee off the stern, as long as we're not following dolphins. The prospect, nonetheless, never thrills me.

The second and rarer of these is, at what point do take my motion sickness pills? This is only an issue on those rare (thrice, so far) occasions when we follow dolphins out into the Gulf. Not very far, mind you. But we're a tiny boat, sitting in the sun, turning round and round in circles, bouncing on the swells.

And--my not-so-secret shame--I have a very delicate stomach. Yeah. I get seasick terribly easily.

Anyway, a tab of meclizine will set me up straight in about 10 minutes. Unfortunately, I'm very sensitive to the seditive effects of those sorts of drugs, meclizine included. I don't want to be useless because I'm puking, but I'd prefer not to be useless because I'm asleep either. The drowsiness/dissorientation is long lasting and hard to fight.

I took some today, and gave my last to Strawhat (other intern who has been going out with us), so I need to get more tonight if possible. I wonder if taking it with caffeine tabs would be more productive, or just unhealthy? I should try to find out.

I'm exhausted right now. Ready for bed, which isn't a bad idea, all told.

Am still enjoying myself.

Note to self: what Nootropil took away from his extensive computer experience seems like the other (darker) side of the coin from what Turquoise took away from his. Am trying unsuccessfully to think about this (or anything).

Wheel made yummy pasta sauce for me, even though I didn't get to go to his baccalaureate.
