"You're at your best when the road gets rough
you've been put to the test but it's never enough..."

Sorry to keep you all in suspense.

My bacc. went beautifully. R1, Arcanologist, Oregano, some un-psuedonymed people and of course Wheel came. We had sandwiches and cheeses and chips and lemonade.

I had some technical problems in the beginning, but it all worked out and I gave a good presentation. My committee asked a variety of stimulating questions, some of which I could answer and some of which I couldn't. They supplied a few real gems that I'll work into revisions and future work. I love my profs. I was surprised that they didn't ask me anything about my college experience or transcripts--the only question in that area was what skills I thought I most needed to get right now, and I knew exactly how I wanted to answer that: acoustics, hardware tech, and programming. They didn't really talk about my methods or results much, although there were some questions about what one might do next, from my results.

I was so busy talking to my friends that I was still talking when they returned from having conferred/filled out paper work in private. Smiles and hugs and handshakes. Then they asked about my future plans, and then everyone gave me advice regarding grad schools and jobs.

I was really worried about the whole thing before hand, but I wasn't nervous at all during, and afterwards I felt good, like it went really well and it wasn't such a big deal or anything.

Now I'm... relaxing. I feel really good. House cleaning. Shopping. Exercising. Eating good food and studying things I want to study and pampering myself.

Also, I got a present for myself after my bacc! A big weird cool exotic present. I spent the whole day playing with it and pondering related things, but that's for another entry.

Tomorrow we're going to West Palm to attend a wedding. After that it's back to work for a week or two, and then guests start arriving.

Oh, and I've already started working on my thesis revisions for the library! Go me.
