25 July 2002 - 17:04 Tomorrow is our last field day. Right now I am sitting in the library at Mote (no, it's NOT open to the public, thanks for asking) waiting out a tremendous thunderstorm that was plowing its way towards my bike route home. No windows here, but I was hearing thunder frequently until about 20 minutes ago. It's probably safe to leave now. Still no 'net or phone access at the house, but the house itself is quite cozy. I'm going to miss seeing so many dolphins and so much water. I should get back in touch with Nelly of OCEP--she could probably provide a dolphins and water fix, when I get back and school starts. Nonetheless, right now I am ready for a change of pace, a change of scenery, and more than anything, a change of company. I could complain about Raccoon for pages, but I won't, 'cause you don't need to hear it and she probably doesn't really deserve it. I am going to miss having so much exercise automatically built-in to my life. It's been superconvenient not to have to make an effort to fit it in. I have wished that I had time to bike more, actually. I think I could do two or three times the distance that I do without much additional stress. Unfortunately, my Significant Wheel has not had to ride miles through the heat every weekday (poor him), and I don't really want to roam too far alone. Speaking of which, I think it's time to move on and go home. Mmmmmmm, home.
